GRAMMY® Award-nominated multi-instrumentalist, composer, and performer Mádé Kuti has announced today’s premiere of his thought-provoking new single, “I Won’t Run Away,” available now at all streaming services via LegacyPlus Records. An official visualizer is streaming now on YouTube. Blending traditional rhythms with modern compositional techniques, the energetic track is a testament to the Nigeria-born artist’s innovative approach to Afrobeat as well as his strong passion for creating music that inspires positive change. “I was thinking a lot about growth and uncovering the characteristics that define me,” says Kuti. “I realized how easy it is for people to be weighed down by their flaws and thought there was nothing more beautiful than a person that could look at themselves objectively and strive to be better not only for their own sake, but for the people around them, their community, and the world at large. ‘I Won’t Run Away’ is about perseverance, seeking the best version of yourself, and challenging your flaws head-on.” LISTEN TO “I WON’T RUN AWAY”WATCH “I WON’T RUN AWAY” OFFICIAL VISUALIZER The grandson of Afrobeat pioneer Fela Kuti and son of Afrobeat legend Femi Kuti, Mádé Kuti has been making waves in the music scene with his unique sound and style since the age of 8, when he began playing bass guitar and saxophone in his father’s band, The Positive Force.
