| Pop-punk duo The Dollyrots will release their new song, “Apocalyptic Romance,” this Friday, October 30, offering the first taste of their forthcoming album, due in spring 2027. The band has also announced the first round of dates for their 2027 Apocalyptic Romance Tour, kicking off March 17 in Hamtramck, Michigan. Tickets are on sale now at Dollyrots.com.“Apocalyptic Romance”: HERE“With a new album coming out and 20 years of ‘Because I’m Awesome’ on the horizon, we’re thrilled to play some new songs live for the very first time while celebrating a record that means a ton to us and the fans. Making music now feels as urgent and fresh for us as it did two decades ago, and this tour’s going to wrap it all up in one big bow!” — Kelly OgdenThe upcoming tour will feature the first-ever live performances of songs from the forthcoming album, alongside a special celebration of the 20th anniversary of Because I’m Awesome. Each show will feature songs from the fan-favorite album, originally released March 13, 2007, giving audiences a chance to revisit the record that cemented The Dollyrots’ place in the pop-punk landscape.“We originally wrote the title track to ‘Because I’m Awesome’ from a sarcastic point of view, and after it came out, we realized it was being adopted as an anthem of self-empowerment. Ever since then, we’ve embraced that feeling. It means so much to us when people come up to us and tell us how that song and album has gotten them through a challenging time. Even after 20 years, it’s humbling to have a record that continues to resonate.” — Luis CabezasBuilt around the lifelong creative partnership of bassist/vocalist Kelly Ogden and guitarist Luis Cabezas, The Dollyrots deliver a signature mix of attitude and optimism, pairing sugar-rush hooks with buzzing guitars and boundless energy.Ogden also marks seven years hosting her weekly show on SiriusXM’s Underground Garage, spotlighting new music and championing emerging artists. Through relentless touring, a fiercely loyal fanbase, and a commitment to doing things their own way, The Dollyrots continue to prove that punk rock can be loud, welcoming, and endlessly catchy.THE DOLLYROTS — 2027 APOCALYPTIC ROMANCE TOURWith special guests LeggyMarch 17 — Hamtramck, MI — Smalls March 18 — Columbus, OH — Rumba Cafe March 19 — Cleveland, OH — Beachland Ballroom March 20 — New Kensington, PA — Preserving Underground March 21 — Newport, KY — Southgate House March 23 — Indianapolis, IN — Melody Inn March 24 — St. Louis, MO — Off Broadway March 25 — Chicago, IL — Reggies March 26 — Minneapolis, MN — Uptown VFW March 27 — Cudahy, WI — X-Ray ArcadeTickets: Dollyrots.comStay up to date: Instagram / Facebook / YouTube / Spotify |
