| PORTLAND, OR — Fresh off their UK and Ireland Repent Repeat tour, Bridge City Sinners are bringing the celebration back stateside. The Portland folk-punk outfit kicks off its Trick or Treat West Coast run October 23 with the first of two nights at Tacoma’s Airport Tavern, followed by stops across Oregon and California through Halloween. The band will then join Streetlight Manifesto for three Texas shows in November before closing out 2026 and ringing in 2027 with the New Year’s Evil Tour. That four-show run begins December 30 in Boise and includes a New Year’s Eve hometown celebration at Portland’s Roseland Theater, followed by dates in Bellingham and Vancouver. Riley Downing of The Deslondes and Roselit Bone join the New Year’s Evil run.Fans can get a taste of the band’s live show through the recently released video for “Spears and Blades.” Filmed in one continuous shot from the stage by Ryys during a performance in Cologne, Germany, the video puts viewers right in the middle of the action.Watch “Spears and Blades” here. With banjo, fiddle, guitar, upright bass and ukulele, Bridge City Sinners pull old-time jazz, Appalachian folk and punk into a world of eerie ballads and rowdy singalongs. Their sound has carried them from Portland sidewalks to international stages, with appearances at Punk Rock Bowling, Muddy Roots and Oregon’s Bluegrass String Summit. The upcoming dates give the band plenty of reasons to celebrate. Speaking ahead of the fall shows, guitarist, co-writer and vocalist King Strang said: “We get to celebrate our favorite holiday for two full weeks this year and we’re going all out. A lot of people really loved Streetlight Manifesto in high school and I still can’t believe we get to play some shows with them.”Bridge City Sinners grew out of Portland’s street music community, where Libby Lux and upright bassist Scott Michaud played together on the sidewalks before the band took shape in 2016. Early performances were loose gatherings of friends, drawing on years spent traveling and playing music on streets, in living rooms and wherever people would stop to listen. That communal spirit remains central to the band. Bridge City Sinners release their albums through Flail Records, the independent label founded and run by Michaud. Built around DIY and DIT—“do it together”—principles, Flail gives artists a place to collaborate, support one another and release music on their own terms. The band’s 2024 album, In the Age of Doubt, reached No. 2 on Billboard’s Bluegrass Albums chart, No. 20 on Emerging Artists, No. 23 on Heatseekers and No. 40 on Top Current Album Sales. New music is planned for 2027. 2026–2027 TOUR DATESTrick or Treat — West CoastOct 23 – Tacoma, WA – Airport Tavern Oct 24 – Tacoma, WA – Airport Tavern Oct 25 – Ashland, OR – Historic Ashland Armory Oct 27 – Petaluma, CA – Mystic Theatre Oct 28 – Felton, CA – Felton Music Hall Oct 29 – Berkeley, CA – The UC Theatre Oct 31 – Ventura, CA – Ventura Music HallWith Streetlight ManifestoNov 13 – Dallas, TX – House of Blues Dallas Nov 14 – Houston, TX – Warehouse Live Midtown Nov 15 – San Antonio, TX – Aztec TheatreNew Year’s Evil Tour With Riley Downing of The Deslondes and Roselit BoneDec 30 – Boise, ID – Shrine Social Club Dec 31 – Portland, OR – Roseland Theater Jan 1 – Bellingham, WA – Wild Buffalo House of Music Jan 2 – Vancouver, BC – The Pearl Tickets and more information:bridgecitysinners.com/showsWebsite · Instagram · Facebook |
