Who On Earth – The Torchbearers of Hard Rock and Heavy Metal
Who On Earth is the New Jersey quintet delivering hard-hitting hooks, airtight instrumentation, and a powerful combination of pummeling grooves and piercing riffs. With a genuine grit and gusto, the band—vocalist Coosh, bassist Pete Rizzi, drummer Howie Fallon, and guitarists Johnny James Barone and Jimmy Kocha—has picked up the torch for hard rock and heavy metal, forging a sound that pays homage to rock’s past while ushering in its future.
The band was born from a simple yet essential question: “Who On Earth is going to bring back good rock and metal?” Longtime friends Coosh and Pete, who had spent years performing covers in the New York tri-state area, chose to focus entirely on composing original music in 2020. They quickly amassed ten songs, drawing on a collective influence spanning the new wave of British heavy metal, classic rock, grunge, and the great bands of the 90’s and early 2000’s. They returned to their roots, resurrecting melodies, hooks, and guitar solos, but upgraded everything with a modern, powerful production.
From Dive Bars to Studio Success
The group made their bones through countless gigs across the New York tri-state area, developing a formidable live reputation. In 2021, they hit the studio with renowned producer / engineer /mixer Mike Orlando (Category 7, Adrenaline Mob) at his Sonic Stomp Studio in New York, NY. The result was their full-length debut album, Blame’ (October 2022), which established their commitment to powerful storytelling, nodding with horns up to influences like Black Sabbath, Iron Maiden, Metallica, Alice in Chains, and Tool.
The lineup was cemented with the arrival of drummer Howie Fallon in March 2024, whose playing style elevated the band’s dynamic. This lineup went on to release the acclaimed EP, Smoke & Mirrors (March 2025). The EP features five originals that tackle themes of corporate deception and media bias and includes their hit cover of Toto’s ‘Hold the Line’. Their heavy, guitar-driven remake of the song quickly became the band’s most-streamed track to date.
The Mission: Filling the Void
Who On Earth’s mission is clear: to fill the void for genuine rock ‘n’ roll and to inspire a new generation of musicians. The band released their most recent full-length album entitled, ‘It Takes the Village’ in May and they are currently touring across the entire East Coast. With new management and plans for extensive touring in 2027, Who On Earth is set to prove that hard rock is still valuable, relevant, and can’t be allowed to die.Current LineupCoosh – VocalsPete Rizzi – BassJohnny James Barone – Lead guitarHowie Fallon – Drums
Behind “Double or Nothing”
“Double or Nothing is a graphic depiction of the uglinessof gambling addiction. The thrill of the bet takes pole position in the gambler’s life and, like drugs and alcohol, can destroy the lives of the entire family. The insanity of it is that despite the wreckage, the gambler still thinks he will beat the odds… next time.” – Who On Earth

Song Lyrics: “Double Or Nothing”  Everywhere the dice are rollinGot this feeling there’s no controlling.Everywhere the money’s flowing Casino’s where I’m goingOver the boundaries once againNothing’s stopping me I’m gonna winI’ve done it before now I’ll do it againI feel lucky, so don’t stop Against the odds, it’s a chance I gotta takeDouble or nothin’ they took it all awayAgainst the odds, now I’m gonna payDouble or nothin’, I’m a gamblerA way of life for some, a way of life for me ‘til I’m done                        2nd: ‘til they say that I’m done3rd: I will never be done
I gotta bet, I need a spinIf I fold, I’ll never winRed or black, feelin’ hotSplit ’em now, take a shotKeeping my cool don’t wanna loseEasy now or I’m singing the bluesIn or out now I’ve gotta chooseI feel lucky, do don’t stop
Against the odds, now I’m gonna payDouble or nothin’, I’m a gamblerA way of life for some, a way of life for me ‘til they say that I’m done
I love this townNeed me some love from lady luckWow, this is the big roll babyGive those dice a kiss for me sweetheartNo snake eyes tonight, 7s and 11sNeed me some brand-new shoes!!!No more bets everyoneTime to let it ride…
Against the odds, now I’m gonna payDouble or nothin’, I’m a gamblerA way of life for some, a way of life for me I will never be done
They took it all awayI know I should have neverThey took it all awayCould have known, should have known, should have known to stay awayThey took it all awayThey got me in, they got me in and I can’t get awayThey took it all awayBring it back, bring me back, bring me back to that dayThey took it all awayGod damn I should havestayed, don’t count me out I’ll be back some day
