CARV grew up with an inherited passion for music. His father plays in a band and taught him guitar at an early age. His love for playing and listening to music eventually evolved into an insatiable appetite for writing his own original songs. He tells personally revealing stories of love, life, and heartbreak in his music and makes no apologies about wearing his heart on his sleeve. At 20 years old, CARV is from a generation that values emotional awareness and self-care. His music relates to many because he sings what they are feeling. What most people internalize, he sings out loud, with unique melodies that feel comfortingly familiar. CARV makes acoustic-driven, narrative rich music, often with bare-bones arrangements, accentuating the impact of every sonic nuance and every word. His intimate, organic sound has many influences and sources of inspiration, including nature and the beauty of the world in general. He romanticizes scenes like mountains, pine trees covered in snow, and the skyline of a big city, and he stays in those moments by fully embracing them. He describes his music as immersive and colorful, and he focuses on how songs make a person feel, the true emotions being drawn out when they close their eyes and listen. CARV’s music embodies the heartfelt and introspective lyricism of Ed Sheeran, coupled with the creative and clever storytelling prowess of Frank Oceanand Lewis Capaldi. His songs are a harmonious blend of emotive vocals, relatable narratives, and a genuine connection with the audience. His stories take shape, like a sculptor who works in negative space, removing the noise to reveal an image. CARV isa true artist and musical sculptor, and he will CARV out his place in music, one song at a time.
