“With a folk-punk style tempered by a pop-punk edge, “The Ravine” promises to feed your hungry punk soul. With the delightfully unhinged stop-motion video alongside it, this promises to be a song you’re going to be singing for a while.”- New Noise Magazine“..pulsates with the group’s trademark melody…”- Westword
“…passionate and socio-politically perceptive..”- Rebel Noise“Cautionary tales of modern-day electronic disassociation with a healthy dose of ska and folk to help the medicine go down.” – Dyingscene

https://distrokid.com/hyperfollow/doomscroll/exhausted-dialogue?ref=releaseExhausted Dialogue deals with internal and external struggles, the exhaustion of fighting the same battles repeatedly and the difficulty of finding any lasting way out.“Exhausted Dialogue is an album about internal and external struggle,” vocalist and guitarist Elliot Lozier explains. “Rarely do we find any kind of reprieve when facing these struggles, and it felt like we were beating a dead horse by singing about these topics again and again.”The title comes from video-game terminology. Players “exhaust” an NPC’s dialogue by repeatedly speaking with the character until there is nothing new left to say—a concept Lozier felt captured the frustration and repetition running through the record. The album includes the previously released singles “The Ravine,” “Zugzwang” and “Sisyphus.” While “The Ravine” finds the band pushing through a seemingly cursed stretch of bad luck, “Zugzwang” looks at the dead-end logic of war. “Sisyphus” uses the Greek myth as a parallel for the monotony of working to survive under capitalism.“The song is about being stuck in a Groundhog Day scenario where the monotony and repetition of making a living wage dilutes the feeling of being alive,” the band says of “Sisyphus.” “Instead of working together, capitalism keeps us separated and forces the poor to live in this awful cycle like Sisyphus.”Doom Scroll recorded Exhausted Dialoguethemselves, with Lozier and guitarist Jon Pizarrotracking the album in their bedrooms. Grammy Award-winning engineer Jason Livermoremixed and mastered the record. His credits include Propagandhi’s Supporting Caste, NOFX’s Wolves in Wolves’ Clothing and The Suicide Machines’ War Profiteering Is Killing Us All. Ian Cook of Larry and His Flask also appears on the track “Horsemen.”The album marks Doom Scroll’s first release through Flail Records, following the recent announcement that the band had joined the label’s roster alongside Bridge City Sinners, Days N Daze and Escape From The Zoo.“Doom Scroll is a band that’s been on our radar for quite a while. When they sent us the new album and told us they were looking for a label, our eyes bulged out of their sockets like a cartoon frog,” Flail Records says. “We love these folks. For years now they’ve been DIY touring like madmen, relentlessly writing and recording increasingly great records, and maintaining the type of creatively independent ethos that truly sets them apart from other bands. We’re thrilled to be working with them and couldn’t be more excited for people to hear the new record.”Formed in 2020, Doom Scroll brings together Elliot Lozier (We the Heathens, Pesky Self, Atrocity Solution, Escape From The Zoo), vocalist and multi-instrumentalist Taylor Dittman(Broken Bow, Hermit Stew), bassist Micah Butler(Chatterbox and the Latter Day Satanists, Helga Pataki), guitarist and producer Jon Pizarro of Dead Work, and drummer Marissa Sendejas(Chad Hates George, formerly of Days N Daze).Doom Scroll will support Exhausted Dialoguewith an extensive fall tour beginning October 14.The run includes an early performance at FESTin Gainesville, dates with Pentagram String Band, a Canadian leg with The You and Me’s, and two final headlining shows.DOOM SCROLL TOUR DATESOctober 14 — Kansas City, MO — Farewell
