Vevo, the world’s leading music video network, announces the release of Suki Waterhouse’s ‘Live from Vevo Studios’ performance of “Tiny Raisin,” the latest single off her forthcoming album Loveland, out July 10th via Island Records.
The ‘Live from Vevo Studios’ series offers emerging and established artists alike the chance to connect with fans through the art of visual performance. These artists can be their truest, most authentic selves with top-of-the-line audio and customizable lighting, further fostering the connection with their global fanbases, while building out their visual catalog.
With millions of streams behind it already, “Tiny Raisin” has been praised by NYLON as “a raucous rock song about love’s peaks and valleys that sounds like it was recorded in a basement in the ’90s,” as well as Billboard, who included the track in their best new music of the week list saying, “True to form, Suki Waterhouse takes listeners on a ride,” and Wonderland, who commented, “She wails, she vocally sashays, and she sings her heart out on this fuck you, love you anthem.”
Loveland follows Suki’s sophomore album Memoir of a Sparklemuffin, which established her as an evocative storyteller, consummate creative, and a powerhouse live performer.
Loveland to me lives in the distance between a former self who felt most alive in romance, fantasy and momentum, and a present self reaching for something steadier, more intimate and more true,” Suki shares, “That split is deepened by motherhood, and by the strange feeling of becoming someone new while still carrying the shape of who you were before.”
Speaking on “Tiny Raisin,” Suki explains the track is “a love song at its core. It’s a song that stands by the fact that real love in its truest essence can be chaotic, ridiculous, and imperfect, while still being something that is absolutely worth choosing over and over again at the end of the day.”
