Grammy-winning songwriter, artist and producer Eric Bellinger returns with his new album It All Makes Sense, a continuation of the Afrobeats infused R&B he first introduced on 2024’s It’ll All Make Sense Later, recorded in Cape Town with a collection of African artists, producers and songwriters. The two-part project represents what Eric calls a true “faith walk” to expand his sound in a way that feels both authentic and global.
Eric shares, “It All Makes Sense was one of the funnest albums I’ve ever put together. For the first part, I took the passenger seat and let the African creatives lead the way. This time, I was able to blend and incorporate what I learned with my own style. The combination of the two different styles offers a new and modern yet street approach to the genre. Super excited for the world to listen!”
The album lead single “Understood (Remix)” teams Eric with Afrobeats icon Tiwa Savage. The vibrant collaboration delivers a heartfelt exploration of love, communication and emotional depth brought to life through smooth vocals and captivating melodies. Eric shares, “I’ve been a fan of Tiwa for years. I first met her through my longtime friend and producer Harmony Samuels, who worked with her before I even started releasing solo music. I always hoped we’d collaborate—and now, over a decade later, it finally happened!”
The current single, Vogue featuring Brndn, came out of Eric’s #OpenVerseChallenge, where he invited fans on social media to record their own verses. Fans voted for their favorite, and the winning verse earned a spot on the album. A deluxe remix of the track will also feature Wale.
Eric recently appeared on Sway in the Morning’s newly launched Garage Series on SiriusXM, delivering powerful performances of “G.O.A.T” and “Drive-By.” Joined by Jane Handcock and Jenevieve, the live-audience sessions featured conversations on their creative approach to music, advice for emerging artists, an engaging Q&A and in-depth interviews. Watch Here.
Eric also introduced his Lyrical Lab Podcast, a fast-paced series of “quick chats” with songwriters, producers and creatives. Each episode features authentic conversations about lessons learned, overcoming challenges and standout career moments. And recently appeared on the On That Note Podcast, hosted by Boyz II Men’s Shawn Stockman, discussing his musical journey, songwriting for global superstars like Usher, Beyonce and Chris Brown, the greatest song bridges of all time and much more.
Beyond the new album, Eric recently launched his independent record label, All Wins Entertainment. “It’s been a long time coming—so much blood, sweat, and tears to get here and we’re still just getting started,” he says. “There’s been a void in artist development, and I’m dedicating my time and energy to bringing that back. We’re here to build the kind of foundation that made the music industry great in the first place.”
